Information About ALTIN


When was ALTIN created?

The company was incorporated in Switzerland on 2 April 1892 under the name "Société Financière Franco-Suisse". It was originally registered in Geneva. On 4 May 1955, the name was changed to "Société Financière" and the seat moved to Baar (canton of Zug) on 14 August 1996. The company became ALTIN AG on 16 August 1996.

The shares of ALTIN AG were listed on the exchange of Zurich on 11 September 1987. ALTIN AG issued a capital increase and started to trade as an investment company specialised in alternative investments in December 1996.

Furthermore, said shares were equally listed on the London Stock Exchange on 20 December 2001 and have been traded since 31 December 2001 on that exchange.

What is the difference between ALTIN AG and Altin Ltd.?

ALTIN AG is a Swiss investment company listed in USD on the Swiss Stock Exchange and on the London Stock Exchange. ALTIN AG invests through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Altin (Cayman) Ltd., domiciled in the Cayman Islands. Investors can only invest through ALTIN AG.

Does the company pay any dividend?

As ALTIN AG's investment objective is to deliver capital appreciation, the Directors of ALTIN AG do not intend to propose the payment of any dividend.

What is the structure?

ALTIN's investment manager, Alternative Asset Advisors S.A., Bahamas, is an owned subsidiary of Financière Syz & Co. S.A., the holding company of the SYZ & CO Group.

Eric Syz is the delegate to the board of ALTIN AG as well as the founder and Managing Director of BANQUE SYZ & CO SA in Geneva.
