Board of Directors

Thomas Amstutz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Altin AG, Swiss citizen

Thomas Amstutz, (Chairman) was appointed Chairman of ALTIN AG on 9 May 2016. Thomas Amstutz has over 30 years’ experience in the financial sector. He began his career in 1981 at Credit Suisse and has held various management positions at different entities of the Credit Suisse Group in Geneva, Frankfurt and Zurich between 1987 and 2004. From 2005 until 2013, Thomas Amstutz was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Absolute Investment Services Ltd, Zurich. To this day, Thomas Amstutz holds several positions as partner, director, Board member or trustee for various Swiss companies and establishments, including as member of the Board of Directors at Alpine Select Ltd. and Absolute Invest Ltd.

André Pabst, Member of the Board of Directors of Altin AG, Swiss citizen

André Pabst, (Board Member) was elected by the shareholders of the Company as a Member of the Board on 13 December 2001. He graduated from the University for Applied Sciences Zurich in economics and business administration, before he became a financial analyst and corporate officer at Continental Illinois Bank in Zurich and Chicago. In 1981 he joined Union Bank of Switzerland, Zug, where he was in charge of trade and commodity financing. He was appointed to branch manager of UBS, Cham, in 1989 and formed his own company, Pabst Investment & Trust, at the beginning of 1993 focusing on investment management and consulting. Pabst Investment & Trust provides consultancy services to the Company since 1996.

Roger Rüegg, Member of the Board of Directors of Altin AG, Swiss citizen

Roger Rüegg, (Board Member) was elected by the shareholders of the Company as a Member of the Board on 22 April 2013. A graduate in economics of the University of St. Gallen (MA HSG) and a Certified Risk Manager (FRM), Roger Rüegg started his career in 2001 at McKinsey & Company in Zurich, as a consultant serving clients in banking, asset management and life insurance mandates in Switzerland and Greece. He then joined Julius Baer’s trading division in Zurich where he was the division's representative in the group-wide corporate development team. Later on he was appointed deputy head of the newly established Alternative Risk Trading desk and assumed responsibility for business operations and new product launches for Julius Baer’s private banking franchise. In 2006, Roger Rüegg joined Horizon21 Alternative Investments. As Head of Product Structuring and Head of Client Services he managed the fund of hedge funds platform and relationships with professional counterparties and also chaired the Product Client Committee. In 2010 Roger Rüegg founded Multiplicity Partners AG, an independent investment boutique specialising in alternative investments.

Dieter Dubs, Member of the Board of Directors of Altin AG, Swiss citizen

Dieter Dubs, (Board Member) joined ALTIN’s Board of Directors on 9 May 2016. Dieter Dubs is a partner at law firm Bär & Karrer since 2005. Dieter Dubs holds a law degree (lic.iur.) from the University of St. Gallen, one (Dr.iur.) from the University of St. Gallen and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. Dieter Dubs has broad experience in M&A transactions with a focus on public tender offers, having represented several target companies in unfriendly takeover situations. In addition, Dieter Dubs advises listed companies on corporate and regulatory matters. Dieter Dubs is also a Board member of Alpine Select Ltd. and Absolute Invest Ltd.

Gerhard Niggli, Member of the Board of Directors of Altin AG, Swiss citizen

Gerhard Niggli, (Board member) was elected on the Board of ALTIN AG on 9 May 2016. Gerhard Niggli holds a law degree from the University of Zurich and an LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School. Gerhard Niggli started his career in 1989 as a legal counsel at the investment fund management company of UBS and spent one year as a foreign associate with Wilmer Cutler Pickering in Washington DC. After relocating to Switzerland in the fall of 1995, Gerhard Niggli joined the law firm Pestalozzi in Zurich and was named Partner in 2000. In 2010 he set up his own law firm in Zurich specialising in regulatory and transactional aspects of collective investments, financial products and asset management. During his career, he held various board positions at banks, fund management and asset management companies and service providers to the fund industry.

Management

Claudia Habermacher, Chief Executive Officer of Altin AG, Swiss citizen

Claudia Habermacher (Chief Executive Officer) was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ALTIN AG in June 2016. She also serves as CEO of Alpine Select Ltd. and Absolute Invest Ltd. Claudia Habermacher has extensive experience in investment funds, previously she held roles at GAM Anlagefonds AG as Project Manager and during her time at GAM she was also in charge of Fund Administration for a Swiss listed hedge fund. Prior to this, Claudia Habermacher was at creInvest Ltd where she headed their office and had overall day-to-day responsibility to provide professional and administrative support to the CEO and to the members of the Board of Directors. She is a member of the managing board of the Swiss Association of Investment Companies («SAIC») since March 2014.

The Company is committed to the principle of good corporate governance and follows corporate governance standards as set by law, the SIX Swiss Exchange guidelines and its own Articles of Association.
